Happy Friday all!

Transitional seasons are always tough. It is no longer cold to be bundled up in multiple layers, yet it is not warm enough to be short-sleeved and bare-legged. Today I’m sharing one of my favourite transitional piece, that is, a midi skirt (made from a thicker material to stay warm). I’ve seen stores that carry wool pencil skirt, but what I love about the one I’m wearing is that it’s A-lined, so it doesn’t hug the hip area and it defines the waist. The leather material makes it not only warm but also drape-y, which I think is more appropriate for colder weather whereas flow-y skirts are more for Spring and Summer.

What else? Well…the length is short enough for me to show off those handsome royal blue heels, AND long enough to cover my leg warmers (that’s right, I’m not actually bare-legged because I would have been freezing – Vancouver is still pretty chilly around March). I think this is a great look for the office or going to some formal event while staying warm and being dressy.  I love pieces that are multi-functional, makes life easier! 🙂
