Faux fur and Flannel

Modernize the look with some faux fur and flannel jogger…

Happy 2017 all! I’ve been away on vacation for the past week in Orlando. Now I am back and…slightly jet lagged. Will do a post on that as I get my photos together.

First of all, thank you for all of you who has been tuning in to this blog. I started in 2015 as a hobby and it’s been a little over a year already. I’ve learned a lot during this process from everything about web design, SEO, to social media and collaborations. These are valuable knowledge I would never have had the opportunity to come across in a scholastic setting. And thanks for all my visitor who made it happen. You guys are the best! I’m excited about 2017 because I know there will be great changes that will happen to me personally and professionally. I look forward to communicating with all you lovely fashionistas via this platform and I sincerely hope you have a wonderful new year to come! (hmm…maybe I should’ve said this in my 2016 reflection post…)

Today’s post is largely inspired by being comfortably dressy. I find dressy outfits can sometimes limit your movements and aren’t the most comfortable apparel to wear even though they are unarguably pretty. I always opt for comfort, but we wanna be stylish here too. So a great Winter staple is a pair of flannel trousers. They are loose-fitted, soft and keep you warm. Another great piece that keeps things warm and dressy is a faux fur vest. This one I got from Forever21 years ago and it has impressively stuck with me for a long time. Afterwards, I just accessorize which ever way I want. Throw on a pair of comfy heels or flats. Then a color-popping cross body or a tote to finish everything off!

Where to shop my outfit:

Pants: Aritzia (Babaton’s Jimmy pants here)

Turtleneck: ZARA’s Basics (here)

Faux fur vest: Forever21 (old)

Bag: Burberry (Got it as a gift. Similar here and here)

Heels: Miz Mooz (similar here and here too!)

Let’s connect on FACEBOOK | Twitter | Instagram

Thanks for tuning in!
